Call for a New Member

The COPPUL Scholarly Communications Working Group is seeking nominations for a new member with a strong interest in scholarly communications to serve on this active team. The term is for two years beginning July 1, 2019. The SCWG strives for representation from all COPPUL institution provinces. We are therefore especially interested in receiving nominations from Saskatchewan.

COPPUL Directors are asked to submit nominations to by Friday, June 7 (updated) for anyone interested in joining this group along with contact information, and a brief description of relevant experience.

Additional information about the SCWG, including the terms of reference, can be found on the COPPUL website at

Coming Soon… Issue Briefs

The working group has been busy working on issue briefs that will be posted to this site by the end of June. This year we have been looking at open access mandates in Canada, and library services and supports around research metrics. Last year’s reports on “predatory” publishers and funding support for open access are available here.
